Apparently, my version of the article on Alpha Theta Mu is different from yours because I have 3 clues on the evidence board instead of all 8. I'm saying this in case you don't mind differences in the versions on the wiki.

    • Huh. The newspaper is different and the title of urs is in  black. Yeah, go ahead and add it and make a trivia point about how the number of clues seems to determine what newspaper publishes it.

  • I noticed that someone wrote about Kate's relationship with her parents on her page, and I feel like it's not correct based on the fact that we learn more about them from Flynn in the diamond scene with him in chapter six. Should we reverse that edit?

  • Your thoughts on this proposal: we edit the books template to include syntax to indicate whether a book is ongoing or upcoming? i.e. ongoing books are bolded, upcoming books are italicized (and we include a brief row in the table to indicate what bolding/italicization means)?  Or we use a single asterik to denote ongoing, double asterik to denote upcoming? A book's status as complete/ongoing/upcoming is fairly relevant information.

    • I like asterisks.

        Loading editor
    • Neither. That's why we have the Upcoming Books category and for ongoing we have the section we recently added to show when a book premiered and if it's still ongoing or it has ended. I think that's the perfect way for now. What your suggesting is reppetive and unnecessary. Thanks for your suggestion though.

  • I think we have too many antagonist categories. "Criminals", "Psychopaths", "Bullies", "Antagonists", "Villains" - its excessive. I think we should make just one catch all category for all these people called "Antagonists".

    What do y'all think?

    • I hope you don't mind my sticking in my two cents here.

The problem with this idea is that antagonist can be villains and villains can be antagonists, but not all antagonists are villains and not all villains are antagonists.

For example, technically speaking if our character in AME really was a villain (which they probably can't be despite the hype on the subject), that will never make our character the antagonist, because no matter what kind of character he or she is, he or she will always be the protagonist. The antagonist is someone who works against the main character (also known at the protagonist). This can be a teacher who gives them a bad grade in school, because they deserve it, if the MC makes it their mission to change the grade. This can be the best friend who is actively trying to stop them from doing something stupid as long as that is a major part of the story.

Villains are a totally different type of character. While an antagonist can be a good person, a villain cannot.

Of the categories you are discussing I would make psychopaths and villains subcategories under villains, because psychopaths and bullies are always going to be villains at least so long as they remain psychopaths and/or bullies.

    • ^^^^ Thanks @Storygirl83.  To add onto what you said... This is why we added descriptions in the category pages (https://choices-stories-you-play.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Villains)... Just to double check but @SuperbowserX , did you even click on the category itself?

  • Hey Selena!

I was wondering if it might be a good idea to add a link to the Reddit Choices community (https://www.reddit.com/r/Choices/) somewhere on the Wiki? It's pretty active and players may find it useful and fun. In the absence of an official PB forum this seems to be the closest equivalent :) (Full disclosure, I am one of the mods of the community)

    • @Selena, sounds good, I'll write up a blog post introducing the community. I've also submitted the Wiki as a separate, new link on the site and hopefully it'll lead to more people discovering and utilizing this awesome wiki!

    • Sounds good! I think we both could use the fresh pair  of eyes on both of our sites!

    • No hard feelings at all.  :) If you want to demote yourself then yeah, but I don't mind you keeping it.  if you want to still be an admin, keep it, if not then u can demote urself.  So just add Bloodlines again back to the top of the wikia when ur done.

    • Will do, thanks :)

  • Hi, the existing chat bg is in low quality and appears blurry; outdated too.

So I made a new one, but I'd like to run the change by you first.

What do you think of this version? (isn't on wikia yet, as I did want to ask first)

Removing the overlay? That and img change can be done through MediaWiki:Chat.css

  • I have encountered at least 3 of them so far - two in AME and Adrian from Bloodbound - non-lead characters who have a chooseable name. Think a category for this is warranted? (There may be more in other books I do not know of)

      Loading editor
    • Adrian is customizable  but u can't pick his name.

        Loading editor
    • Not sure a category is needed, but if it helps there are a lot of them in Rules of Engagement and the Prince/King in The Royal Romance is also one. There are more, but at least one is spoiler-filled and all the rest I can think of are pets.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah the reason I initially deleted the thread was because I realized after posting that Adrian's name isn't choosable. Plus most of them I can recall are pets
