The other servants will keep Dom's secret. And if they don't, it'll be moss cabbage every night, so help me!
— Margaret[1]
Margaret Blake, a character in "The Crown & The Flame" series, is the castle cook of Stormholt. She is first seen in Book 1, Chapter 1.

Margaret has brown eyes, light brown hair and fair skin. She wears yellow green cloth covering her hair and an olive green apron over a white dress.

Margaret was a very loving mother. She took in and treated Dom as if he were her biological son, and did not prioritize her other offspring over him. When Bartel took down Dom's hawk and discovered a note to Kenna, and subsequently took Trystan hostage to force out the suspect, she chose to take the blame as a fire-wielding traitor to save both Dom and Trystan.

Rose Blake

Rose is her daughter.

Trystan Blake

Trystan is her son. She loves him just as much as she loves Dom, as she offered her life by feigning responsibility for Dom's actions to save Trystan from Bartel's blade.

Dominic Hunter

She saved Dom from Nevrakis soldiers by introducing him as her son, and also treated him as such. She sacrificed herself to save Dom by confessing that she was the spy who sent the hawk to Kenna.

Even in the afterlife, Margaret worries about Dom, as she asked him, out of all things, what he was eating now that she's gone.

  • Rose, Trystan, and Margret appear in Book 2 when Dom entered the spirit World for the first time. He can talk to only one of them.
  • She shares the same forename as Margaret Sterling, a character from the Veil of Secrets book.
